Terms of Service!
This is the most important part of the page! Please take your time to read through my terms of service as any form of payment signifies an agreement to these terms. A violation of these terms may result in a termination of your commission.
1. If you are under 18, you MUST have a parent/legal guardian contact me. Parents/legal guardians will be sent a contract before the process can begin. I may for ask for proof of age, such as a valid ID. The ID name must match the name displayed on your PayPal, Cashapp, Venmo, etc. unless we have discussed otherwise.
2. Payment plans can be discussed. Materials will not be bought until you have paid a down payment of 30% of the total cost. Work will not be started until you have paid the full cost and it is your turn in the queue, unless discussed otherwise. You must pay a minimum of $200 USD a month until your suit is fully paid off.
3. I will only work with a character that you own! If you are caught trying to commission a fursuit of a stolen character that does not belong to you, you will be blacklisted and will not receive ANY sort of refund nor will you be able to receive the fursuit. The fursuit design will be changed and sold, OR if completed, the original character of the suit will be tracked down and the owner will be sent the suit. Fandom based characters ARE allowed (Ex. My Little Pony, Pokémon, etc.), as long as they are your own character.
4. All clients must have a full, unshaded ref sheet, with multiple views that shows off the design with the exception of artistic liberty clients. The reference must be digital and colored neatly. No shading either! If you don't have a reference, you may fill in a base or commission someone! If you're struggling to make a reference, send me a message or an email! I take art commissions as well and have a list of artist references I can send you.
5. Refunds are only given out on a case by case basis. If I decide that I am no longer able to create your commission or a part of your commission, I will negotiate a refund amount. Your 30% down payment is NON REFUNDABLE! Once paid, you will not get this amount back as it goes towards purchasing the materials to create your fursuit. Any materials provided by the client will be sent back to said client. Client is in charge of shipping for these materials unless I am the one who decided to cancel. If work has already been started on your fursuit and a refund is requested, I will negotiate an amount with you to be refunded based on how much work is completed. If I am 50% or more done with your commission, you will not receive a refund if you request one. I will finish your commission and you will still be required to cover postage for your commission to be sent to you. Please contact me first if you would like a refund. Forcing a chargeback will make you ineligible for a refund and legal action may be pursued against you.
6. Once any product has left my possession, I am not liable for any damage that may occur or your package getting lost in the mail. Although I will be more than happy to contact the post office and help you out, I am not responsible for it. I will do everything in my power to help you and guide you.
7. Once the product is in your possession, you will have a sixty (60) day warranty. Anything that breaks or needs adjustments can be fixed. You can send it back to me free of charge. You will be required to pay postage for me to send it back to you after repairs. All fursuit parts must be cleaned when sent back to me, or they will be returned to you until it can be cleaned. Any changes you or anyone else makes will result in a void of the warranty. I will not repair or refurbish anything that has been heavily changed outside of Spectrum Wolff Studios. This excludes minor repairs. After your 60 day warranty, you will be charged for postage both ways and will be charged for repairs.
8. Once finished, I will send you instructions on how to properly care for your fursuit and how to wash it. Please follow this guide to avoid damage to your suit. Cleaning it improperly will result in damage to your suit. I am not liable for any damage caused to your suit due to mishandling during storage and travel or improper cleaning.
9. Over time, your suit will wear down. This is bound to happen no matter what, but most of the time these things can be fixed! Depending on the amount of things that need to be fixed and the severity, I will gladly walk you through the process to fix it or you can send it back to me for repairs at a fee. If you have a hole or two, you do not need to send it back and I will walk you through the process OR you can YouTube a video on sewing if you don't know how to sew. If there is a bigger problem, it can be sent back to me. You MUST clean the suit, notify me of all issues, pay the fee, and send it back back to me.
10. As of right now, I am the only person who makes these suits. Occasionally I will have some help from my partner. I prioritize college, family and my health. Please be patient with me! These things take time if you want it to turn out right! I will update you as frequently as possible. Should I experience any delays with working on commissions, you will be notified as soon as possible. If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to message me.
11. If you want to make any changes to your design, you will need to notify me. ALL changes no matter how small are subject to a fee. If you fail to notify me properly, I can not guarantee a change in the product. You CANNOT change characters unless you have not completed payment and you have gotten the design approved with me.
12. You may commission an artistic liberty suit. You will be asked what species, gender, and colors you would like and I will create a design and then send it to you for your approval. Design fees are $50 USD or more and must be paid asap. You will be charged an extra $5 for any major changes to the design.
13. By commissioning and wearing a fursuit, you are aware that fursuits limit your motion range, vision, hearing, and breathing. You are also aware that they do trap a lot of heat. I am not liable for any harm that occurs to you while you or someone else is wearing a fursuit. It is your responsibility to stay hydrated, take breaks, and be careful and aware of your surroundings.
14. I currently have two cats. They are typically not around any supplies for very long but they do shed. It is your job to notify me of any cat allergies you may have. By commissioning me, you acknowledge that I own a cat and if you have any allergies, I am not liable for a reaction that you may have as I have warned you and you decided to go through with the commission.
15. I charge a $5-$25 shipping fee with every suit on top of the actual shipping charge. This fee helps account for your box(es), packaging tape, paper/labels, printer ink, bags, disinfectant and gas. The amount depends on how big your package is and how many packages need to be sent.
16. Spectrum Wolff Studios will not accept any commissions of AI generated characters or artwork. I have been an artist for 10+ years and can easily detect 99.99% of AI images just by looking at them, so please do not attempt to deceive me. Commission requests that use AI generated images will NOT be accepted and you are not permitted to input pictures of my work into any AI generator. If you are struggling to get a ref sheet, please contact me for assistance.
17. By commissioning me, you agree to all of these terms and agree that you have read them all. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. I have the right to change these terms at any time I feel necessary.
If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please let me know! I'd be happy to discuss and answer any questions with you and help you get a better understanding of the commission process or my conditions.
